The recipes on the following pages have been designed and tested by my family and me or close friends. Some are more difficult than others but all are well worth the effort. I hope you enjoy them. Many of the recipes featured on this site are several generations old. All recipes featured are authentic. In addition to family recipes some of my favorites are listed which originated from other sources but have been modified to my taste.
Remember to read through all recipes from beginning to end before preparing them. It is a great idea to prepare and organize all ingredients before attempting to cook a particular dish. By preparing and organizing everything in advance you will achieve greater results and avoid mistakes.

My name is Killis and I have been cooking for as long as I can remember back to when I was a small child. I have learned many different cooking techniques and how to cook many different ethnic dishes. I learned many Cajun dishes from friends and their families while living in Central Louisiana back in the `90's. I also am a huge BBQ fanatic and am a certified Memphis BBQ Network judge (MBN).
